Caleb, Our Son

Thank you for all of your prayers and support. Today has been a wonderful day with our new son. He slept through the night last night and I had to wake him up this morning. He ate breakfast well and then we went to meet with the officials in town. Caleb YuDong officially became a Day today. We had two interviews by officials asking us our name, age, about our children and our reason for adopting. Then, towards the end of the interview, they asked us if we were satisfied with our child. Yes, very much we replied. He has really come out of his shell today and has only cried a couple times, once when waking from his nap and when I gave him his cold medicine. Caleb is smart, funny, and has a wonderful personality. We had a fun time playing in the room today and Caleb and Daddy have begun to have a great relationship and they play many games that often result in much laughter and fun.. We took him out for a walk this afternoon and tried to share an ice cream cone with him, and he made the funniest face when we gave it to him. He does not want any ice cream. I guess it is too cold for him. He is certainly experiencing many firsts, and seems to be doing so very well. It took him only about five minutes to fall asleep tonight. We all love him so very much. He has charmed us completely and won our hearts so incredibly fast. We are so very blessed! We cannot wait to introduce him to his brothers and know they will enjoy him just as much.

It's been so much fun keeping up with you on your journey. Your new son is truly fortunate to have such a great family to welcome him with open arms. I know it will not be long before Caleb is sitting up at the front of our church "spoiling" Pastor Dave's children's sermon by knowing the answers to the questions before they are asked. Just like Uri and Peter : )
Congratulations Mary Ann, George, Josh, Noel, Bethany, Peter, Uri and Caleb!!!!
